The Great Gatsby; English Literature

So right now, I am currently still trying to finish "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Its a classic novel written in around 1800s but I'm not sure. Anyway, I've bought the book in June and I still haven't finished it yet. Not because I don't like it but because I don't really understand the old words and also the fonts are really small. Probably 7pt or something.
The Great Gatsby
The cover is far from interesting, I know. But believe me, the plots are amazing. And the way Scott wrote the plot are perfect. And there are a lot of amazing quotes in it! For someone who likes reading quotes like me and highlighting quotes from novels, then I'm sure you'll love this book! There are quotes like:

1. "And so with the sunshine and the great brusts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had the familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer."
2. "I was within and without. Simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life"
3. "I felt a haunting loneliness sometimes, and felt it in others--young clerks in the dust, wasting the most poignant moments of night and life"

Beautiful, aren't they? That's why I love classic novels, the writers use such beautiful words to describe things and events and people. The writers have an amazing way to deliver their stories to their reader. And that's also one of the reason why I've been thinking to take English literature in University. I am so fascinated by words and books and I want to learn more about it. I want to learn how to interpret a novel and find the messages from the novel and whatnot. My friend say that English literature is pretty easy if you love reading, because she said the professor will only give you book to read and all you have to do is read and interpret. Yep better than calculating the sun's mass. So maybe from now, 60% of me want to take the English literature class and plus everyone always says that you have to do things that you really love because it'll make you happy in the end, and I love reading and English so yeah, why not?^^

Anyway, these are the fonts in The Great Gatsby.....
my eyes are hurting when I read it.
And I also bought this book called "Beautiful Disaster" when I bought "The Great Gatsby" and I haven't finished it yet too:)
Beautiful Disaster
the only reason why I bought this book was because it was on sale and the rating on goodreads is 4 stars. So I thought it's pretty good, but I haven't even read the summary in the back of the cover yet....

And I still have a lot of novels that I want to share but I'm hungry and my fingers are tired so yeah, goodbye for now^^
